(3) Saina Nehwal won the Thailand Open by beating Inthanon Ratchanok  of Thailand

 Saina Nehwal have won her second title of the year by beating Inthanon Ratchanok of Thailand in the final of Thailand Open.The indian thrashed the title after beating the thailandian in a set of  19-21, 21-15, 21-10

Senior most election commissioner Mr. Veeravalli Sundaram Sampath  is appointed as the Chief Election Commissioner by the President Pratibha singh Patil.He Replaced Mr. S.Y. Quraishi.
