Interview Experience for Bank Jobs

The waiting room for the candidates is fairly quit with most candidates reading books and looking up their notes as a last minute preparation.In this midst is a young man Mr A who is trying to interrupt others in their reading by constantly trying to strike a conversation.He appears to be slightly out of place in this setup as he is dressed in jeans and a bright orange coloured half sleeve shirt.Mr A is wearing the usual jogging shoes with the laces tied untidily.he does not present a serious impression of himself.In fact,his overall personality and conduct reflects the importance he is attaching to the occassion.
Mr A enter the interview in a cheerful manner without caring to close the door softly behind him.he greets the member panel and takes his seat without any nod from any of the members.

Q- You appear to be pretty satisfied with yourself.What gives you so much confidence?
Mr A-  This is my normal self and also i am prepared for any questions.

Q- We find from your application that you are an office bearer of the staff union in your present 
       occupation.What is your role in the union.
Mr A - yes.I am the assistant secretary of my office staff union.Since it is a auto parts factory we fight for
              employee rights with the employer.

Q- There is possibility of unpleasant and undesirable situations being faced in the office.If there is conflicts of ideas between the employer and staff.
A- Yes.I participated in strikes and dharnas in the office premises.

Q-Are you likely to continue in the same manner if your join the bank?
A- I know that there are bank staff unions/Associations which i would surely like to join.

Q-But banks are service oriented organizations and crucial for the economy.
A-that's true but rights of employees cannot be undermined.

Q-Dharnas/Strikes would mean great inconvenience to the customers.How do you respond to that?
A-But the privilages of employees are equally important and it cannot be compromised.

Q-Suppose there is a strike call for tomorrow and you are in urgent need of funds on the day.How will you manage?
A-I will borrow from some of my friends.

Q-But don't you carry plastic money?
A-Sir i have not understood what do you mean.

Q-Have you not heard of credit and debit cards?
A-I don not have any cards as i prefer to withdraw from the banks.

Q-How will you guide your customers in such situations then?
A-Once i join the bank.I will learn about these things.

Q-Thank you for talking to us.You may now leave.
A-A doesn't show any adverse expression while walking out of the room even after a disappointing performance.

Final result - Mr A was rejected

Note- This illustration is to indicate that improper and careless attitude shown by the candidate in his dressing,appearance,behaviour,conduct and thought process.Such mannerisms and approach is not acceptable by the interview board.Please guard against such an unwanted performance which is easily visible and dismissed by the selection panel.
